According to the ASPCA, fleas and ticks are two of the most frequent pet care concerns in the United States.  Both fleas and ticks maintain diseases, 

cause lots of discomfort, and can cause a wide variety of issues for your pets.  For example, ticks can spread the following diseases:

• Tick paralysis 

Infected pets can display a variety of symptoms if they are infected with these diseases, such as:

•      Abnormal bruising and bleeding
•      Neurologic abnormalities
