Melissa Wry - Director:

Melissa started volunteering in animal rescue with the Animal Humane Society in 2010 (dog walker, puppy bather, foster care). In the spring of 2013, Melissa attended her first Leech Lake Legacy spay/neuter clinic and has been an active volunteer with the organization ever since. She started a position as a part time Animal Care Technician at Animal Humane Society in December 2013. Melissa specializes in medical foster care and animal socialization. She continues to foster for Animal Humane Society, No Place Like Home, and Leech Lake Legacy. She considers herself to be a cat and dog person.


Melissa currently works for the Department of Homeland Security as a Master Coordination Center Officer. She works on call for Animal Humane Society.

Melissa shares her home with her beloved Pit Bull, Waffles, and her cats.
